It’s been 238 days since the Brisbane Lions’ last visit to Melbourne – so the Club is encouraging all Victorian-based members and supporters to get behind the team while they’re in town this weekend to take on North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium.
Not long after arriving in Melbourne on Saturday afternoon, the Lions will be put through a light training session at Wesley College (577 St Kilda Rd, Melbourne) from 3:30pm – 4:15pm, after which all players and coaches will be available briefly to mingle with fans.
This presents a terrific opportunity for Victorian fans to see the boys up close and even grab an autograph or two, before they return back to the team hotel for their strategy meetings.
Be sure to keep posted to the Training Times section of our website for up-to-date schedules.
A range of activities are then planned surrounding the senior team’s Round 2 clash against the Kangaroos on Sunday 12 April.
The Victorian faithful will have an opportunity to purchase memberships and merchandise from our dedicated marquees pre-game, while members can take advantage of a new – and FREE – ‘reserved bay’ of general admission seating on Level 3 (between Aisles 13-14) once they’ve scanned in to Etihad Stadium.
Fans planning on getting to the game early for a pre-game bite and/or drink are encouraged to head to the Mail Exchange Hotel (688 Bourke Street – the corner of Bourke Street and Spencer Street) to mingle with fellow supporters and Club personnel.
Plus, our Victorian player sponsors will receive the added benefit of an exclusive post-game event with the players and coaches.

Should Lions fans crave even more footy this weekend, we suggest they head to the Club’s spiritual home in Victoria – the Brunswick Street Oval – to cheer on Fitzroy FC in their VAFA Premier B season opener against Old Brighton from 2pm.
