LAST TIME THEY MET
The Lions were looking to break their losing streak in Melbourne with their Round 12 visit to Etihad to face the in-form Blues.

The margin was close heading into the first break, before Carlton kicked four goals to one in the second term to extend their lead to 33 points heading into half time.

The third term saw Carlton’s leg speed prove too much for the Lions defence, before an evenly-matched final quarter saw Carlton walk away 61-point victors.

Andrew Walker ended the day with five goals for Carlton, while Jack Redden (32 touches and five tackles) and Simon Black (30 touches) were shining lights for the Lions.
