We take a look at some of the key talking points from Senior Coach Justin Leppitsch’s press conference this morning.
On the 2nd Placed Suns
“There’s been a bit of chirp come from down there but they are going pretty well,’’ Leppitsch said of the Gold Coast.
“That’s good for them and they’d be feeling pretty happy and probably expecting to come up and belt us.
“So that’s the way they’ll probably be thinking down there. We’ve just got to do our thing.’’
On the Lions’ style of play
“It’s hard to focus on skill errors. It’s a training thing and an execution thing and a confidence thing so we have to keep on that path,’’ Leppitsch said.
“I want to keep encouraging the boys to play an attacking brand, I think that work’s for us.”
On what we’re working on
“Turnover differential has pretty much been our season to date. We’ve played some pretty good opposition that have made us pay.
“If we fix up that part of our game, we’ll score more.”
Know where we sit
“The boys are in a good place and ready to take the game on. They are very clear on where we sit as a footy club, the beauty is they’ve taken responsibility for what they can do as well.
“Our boys are working hard and the results will come.”
