The Brisbane Lions today met with James Aish and his manager Liam Pickering at the Gabba.

Lions CEO Greg Swann described the meeting over the young midfielder's contract as very positive, and that parties had resolved to continue discussions.

No timeline had been set and the Club was looking forward to James working his way back into the Seniors, said Swann

"The discussions focused on moving forward," said Swann.

"We are really pleased that Liam has come up and spoken about a way to go forward in relation to James, and we are satisfied with where the process is at.

"We will continue to discuss James' long-term future as he seeks to return to the Senior team. His selection will be solely based on form."
