FORWARD Josh Green says the Lions will need new on-field leaders to stand up against Richmond on Saturday.

“We’re a fairly young side and we’re still developing in that area, but we really missed Tommy on the weekend.

“Hopefully he’s not too far away but that’s part of what we’ve got to work on as a team”, Green said.

“If Tom’s not there or another leader – someone’s got to step up and take control.”

Green expects a tough Tigers outfit with both teams having plenty to prove.

“They said in the media this week that they’re (Richmond) looking forward to redeeming themselves, coming off a loss, so it should be a good game early on.

“Hopefully we can put on a good show.”
