Simon Black is an early favourite among Lions members to take out his second consecutive Members' Player of the Year award.

Black's consistent 2007 season has seen him poll votes in almost all of the Lions opening matches. Black is, however, receiving some stiff competition from a number of his Lions team mates.

Jed Adcock, who was the popular choice among members for his performance against the Crows, is close behind while Jonathan Brown, Luke Power, Tim Notting and Michael Rischitelli have also polled well.

The Members’ Player of the Year competition invites all Lions members to vote on who they believe are the three best performed Lions players each week (in the familiar 3-2-1 Brownlow Medal format).

Members that vote via email will be in the running to win two tickets to the Club Champion dinner to present the Member of the Year award to the eventual winner.

All members wishing to participate must email their votes from each game to competition@lions.com.au with the subject heading Members Player of the Year. Votes must be received no later than the Wednesday after each match.
