Most recently, The Foundation contributed funds to purchase equipment for a Lions performance enhancement training project.
To ensure that all monies raised are secure and professionally distributed, The Foundation is managed by a separate Board of Directors with a strict long-term investment strategy.
The Foundation relies primarily on funds raised through the members and supporters of the Brisbane Lions Club via donations, the funding of specific Lions projects and bequests.
Your donation or bequest to The Foundation is needed so it can continue working with and supporting the Brisbane Lions for generations to come.
The Foundation offers many ways to back the Lions
Individual donations
There are three donation categories for individuals:
• Gold – donations over $5,000
• Silver – donations of $1,001 to $5,000
• Supporter – donations of $10 to $1,000
Corporate donations
There are three donation categories for corporate organisations:
• Gold Corporate – donations over $50,000
• Silver Corporate – donations of $25,001 to $50,000
• Supporter Corporate – donations of $10,000 to $25,000
Donations to a Brisbane Lions Special Project
The Foundation gives you the opportunity to donate funds to a specific Brisbane Lions project so you can see the direct benefits of your contribution. For more information on current special projects, please email blfoundation@lions.com.au
Bequests to The Foundation
Make a bequest to The Foundation and show your support for generations to come. A bequest is a gift specified in your Will that reserves your estate or a list of assets to an identified beneficiary. If you already have a Will and wish to include The Foundation as a beneficiary, you can make a bequest by adding a Codicil to your Will. If you wish to rewrite your Will at a later stage, a bequest can be incorporated into the Will itself at this time.
Recognition of your support
Your support will be recognised in a number of ways. Unless privacy is requested, contributions are recognised in The Brisbane Lions Foundation Annual Report, The Foundation website Donor Registry and e-newsletter, and Lions Club publications: The Lions Tale newsletters, Brisbane Lions Season Guide and Brisbane Lions Season Review.
