We spoke to Brisbane Lions Football Manager Graeme Allan for some insights into the players recruited to the club on Tuesday...

Pre-season Draft
Selection No.5: Tom Rockliff
Murray Bushrangers, Vic, medium forward, February 22, 1990, 184.3cm, 83kg
Tom is a smart and creative footballer who can kick goals as a small forward and also play in the midfield.  He was the leading goal-kicker in this year's TAC Cup competition, won the Murray Bushrangers' best and fairest award and was selected in the team of the year. He is a clever player that we feel could be a long-term prospect for our club.

Rookie Draft
Selection No. 7: Daniel Murray
East Perth, WA, ruckman, May 3, 1990, 199.4cm, 98kg
Daniel Murray is an athletic 201cm ruckman from East Perth who we believe has plenty of scope for development. We needed another ruckman to balance up our list and we thought he was the best available. He was second ruckman to Naitanui in the state championships, therefore didn’t get a great amount of time but we liked the way he went about his game.

Selection No.66: Adam Spackman
Morningside, Qld, March 4, 1989, 184cm, 80kg
We put on a Queensland priority pick in 19 year-old Adam Spackman. Adam’s a midfield half-back who played state football for Queensland this year and had a very good finals series.
