The Brisbane Lions will say thank you to their loyal and dedicated members this weekend as part of the Devine Members’ Thank You Round.
The Lions’ final home game of the season – Sunday’s clash against the Western Bulldogs – will be all about the Lions’ members.
In a show of appreciation from the Club, selected Lions members who have been to every home match this season will get to form a Guard of Honour for the players to run through pre-match.
These lucky members will also join our “Lion Hunters,” members who referred a friend in 2013, in a lap of honour around the Gabba.
The responsibility of tossing the coin will also be handed over to a Lions member, while 22 dedicated members who’ve attended every home game will be presented with a signed, match-worn player guernsey post-match.
On and on-field entertainment will be plenty and a unique promotion, the “Ticket Tornado,” will ensure each and every season member has the chance to leave the game with a prize.
Lions’ Co-Captain, Jed Adcock, said: “Members are the life-blood of our footy club and we cannot thank them enough for their passion and commitment.
“They play a massive role in getting us over the line, and in games like the Geelong game earlier this season, their support can be all the difference.
“This week is an opportunity for us to show our appreciation for those members who turn up week in week out to support us.”
Earlier this season, the Lions surpassed the 24,000 member mark – up from 20,762 in 2012.
