Brisbane Lions spearhead Jonathan Brown will get a chance to blow out the cobwebs before Round One during Saturday’s ‘Festival of Football’ at Burpengary.
The Brisbane Lions have named an unplaced squad of 27 players, including Brown, for their practice match against the Sydney Swans on Saturday.
Brown, who is the only addition to the side that recently defeated Gold Coast in Townsville, is tipped to return the side for after he was sidelined with a foot injury late in the 2013 season.
He had his first competitive hit-out for 2014 last week in an intra-club practice match, kicking two goals.
The practice match is part of the ‘Festival of Football’ at the new Moreton Bay Central Sport Complex, which will also see the Lions NEAFL side face Aspley in a NEAFL practice match at 11am before the senior team hosts Sydney for their final competitive hit out of the pre-season at 2:30pm.
