It’s fair to say the Brisbane Lions have been part of some truly remarkable moments throughout VFL/AFL history.

To this day such moments are cherished by the fans, who regularly reminisce about where they were and when…

Naturally, these stories become more elaborate and slightly skewed with each passing year, which only helps grow the legend.

In 2014, the Lions’ Major Sponsor, Vero, will be dusting off the archives to present some of the Club’s most memorable moments in a series of television commercials to be shown throughout the season.

The ads will aim to feature some of the Lions’ most passionate fans sharing their version of events from particular moments throughout the history of Brisbane Lions.

Specifically, Vero are looking for avid fans who are willing to re-live (on camera) their memories from the following games:

23 June 2013
Brisbane Lions v Geelong Cats

‘The Miracle on Grass’. Down by 52 points late in the third quarter, the Lions produce a record-breaking comeback to defeat premiership fancies Geelong courtesy of an after-the-siren goal from Ash McGrath in his 200th AFL match. Relive this great Lions moment again

6 September 1986
Fitzroy v Essendon Bombers
Facing reigning VFL premiers Essendon in an elimination final on a rainy afternoon, few people gave Fitzroy a fighting chance of advancing further through September. In a low-scoring affair Michael Conlan etched his name into folklore when he slotted a goal in the dying moments to gift the Lions a famous one-point victory.

If you witnessed one (or maybe even both) of these moments go to www.verotvmoment.com.au to share your story and have the chance to appear in a nationally broadcast TV commercial.
