For the past 15 seasons, Jonathan Brown has given his heart, soul, and put his body on the line for his beloved Brisbane Lions.

Brown has long been a fan favourite, not just for his outstanding on-field ability, but also for his ability to relate with the general public – a trait that earned him the title as ‘The People’s Champion’.

He officially closed the curtain on a remarkable career last Monday, but leaves behind a host of lasting memories that Lions members and supporters will cherish long into the future.

Lions fans will have an opportunity to show their appreciation for the recently retired champion this Saturday night at the Gabba, with a range of different activities.

Before the game, fans can pick-up their very own free ‘Thanks Browny’ banner (pictured below) at the main gates and all Lions Shop outlets.

Fans are then encouraged to wave these banners at half-time when Brown enters the field for an on-field interview before performing a special lap of honour.

At the conclusion of the match there will also be a special presentation made to Brown, where fans will join together for one final 'Browny Salute'.

The Sunday Mail are also helping celebrate Brown’s career by featuring a special tribute colour poster of the great man in their paper, which will be available for collection at the end of the game.

So pay your respects to the ‘Lion King’ himself this Saturday night at the Gabba, before, during and after the senior team’s match against North Melbourne.

The Club will confirm details surrounding Brown’s farewell in Victoria shortly.

FREE 'Thanks Browny' banners will given out prior to Saturday night's game
