The Brisbane Lions mourn the loss of former Board member Neville Fallon, who passed away on Monday.
Born and educated in Toowoomba, and a graduate from Harvard University, Fallon was a passionate supporter of Australian Football in Queensland.
Known affectionately as ‘Nifty Nev’, he was a long-term sponsor of both the Coorparoo Football Club and State of Origin QAFL Team.
On 16 December 1991, he was appointed a Foundation member of the Brisbane Bears/Lions Board and served as a Director from 1991 till 1999.
Prior to the formation of the Board, he was Chairman of the Lions Marketing Committee, and oversaw tremendous growth in membership, supporter base, and revenue.
He was also founder of the Gold Lions (the major Gold Coast Supporter Group) and the Brisbane Lionesses Coterie Group.
The Club extends its deepest condolences to the entire Fallon family.
