Claye Beams will make his long awaited return for the Lions on Saturday when they take on North Melbourne at Etihad.
Beams underwent surgery earlier this year after he sustained a foot injury during a practice match against the Sydney Swans during the preseason.
Having spent the majority of the 2013 season in rehab for a ruptured ACL, Beams will finally return to Senior footy for the first time in over 12 months.
Beams made a successful return last week through the NEAFL and was amongst the sides best, finishing with 22 touches.
Also returning to the side are Jordan Lisle and Mitch Golby.
In disappointing news the Lions will be without young gun, Sam Mayes was was concussed at training this morning.
Mayes failed to pass the required concussion test and will miss Saturday's.
Matt Maguire will also miss through suspension, while Nicholas Robertson has been omitted.??
The Lions take on North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium, Saturday afternoon at 4.40pm.
