Jamie Charman and Brent Staker have arrested back their Lions TV supremacy in August on the back of a world-wide social media phenomenon.
The Footy Fix co-hosts topped the Lions TV charts, and at the same time helped raise awareness for Motor Neurone Disease (MND), by taking part in the famed ‘ice bucket challenge’ at the Gabba.
The short video had more views than any other Lions-produced special interest clip, across the website, YouTube, mobile site, and the Club App.
Even if it wasn’t for the ice bucket challenge, the boys would have still reigned supreme with Footy Fix: Time to Bounce ranked second overall.
Tom Rockliff, who won the July ratings courtesy of his popular ‘Challenge’ segment, featured in two different challenges during August, but had to settle for third and fourth place.
Further episodes of Footy Fix and Locker Talk filled out the remaining positions inside the top 10.
Interestingly, Joel Patfull’s Locker Talk segment on Ash McGrath ahead of the premiership player’s last game, was the most watch regular feature on the Club App.
Meanwhile, the Bupa Recovery Reports with Brett Burton and Matt Hass were the most-watched items by fans using desktops – but didn’t feature in the top 10 overall due to fewer views on mobiles, the Club App, or on YouTube.
It’s worth noting that Matt Maguire’s popular A Brew with Goose program didn’t appear until early September, so wasn’t included in the August ratings period.
However, in just 24 hours since being published, it has already had enough views to suggest that it will be a runaway winner in September.
