With a new Senior Coach, comes a new game style, and the Brisbane Lions have spent much of their time over in Arizona becoming familiar with Justin Leppitsch’s game plan for 2014.

But with every new game plan, also comes time to understand and perfect it.

Vice-Captain Tom Rockliff says the new style has so far been well received by the team.

“The game plan’s definitely changed a lot from what it was last year. Obviously Leppa’s come in with his new game plan and style and the boys are embracing that well,” Rockliff told LIONS TV.

“It’s obviously going to take us a bit of time to pick it all up, but it seems to suit our style and it’s going to easy for the boys to understand.

“Once they pick it up, it will go well.”

Rockliff recorded the LIONS TV interview from Arizona, before flying home early due to a minor back complaint.

“I came over and was in good nick, but my back sort of gave in after the flight and seized up a bit.

“I’ve been getting a fair bit of treatment just trying to free the back up.”

The rest of the Lions’ playing squad are set to return from their high altitude training camp this weekend.
