The Brisbane Lions have named a near-full strength team to travel to Melbourne for the NAB Cup Grand Final.
The Lions, who take on Carlton this Friday night in the pre-season decider at Etihad Stadium, welcome back midfielder Jack Redden and defender Matt Maguire, who both sat out last week’s game.
Otherwise, the team is unchanged from the side that defeated Collingwood by 34 points last Saturday.
Matthew Leuenberger will rest as a precautionary measure after a minor calf complaint earlier this week, while rookies Justin Clarke and Sam Michael have been omitted to make way for Maguire and Redden.
It will be the Lions’ first NAB Cup Finals appearance since 2007, when they coincidentally also faced Carlton in the night Grand Final.
The final squad for the NAB Cup Grand Final is below:
B: Joel Patfull, Daniel Merrett, Elliot Yeo
HB: Jed Adcock, Matt Maguire, Mitch Golby
