Lions seeking fair trade
The Lions will be seeking a 'win/win' deal for Mitch Clark during Trade Week.
Most of the Trade Week discussion surrounding the Lions will be centred around Mitch Clark who has requested a move back home to Western Australia.
While speculation is rife surrounding what the Lions might possibly receive from Fremantle, West Coast or even a third party in return for the 23 year-old ruckman/forward, Senior Coach Michael Voss simply hopes that an agreement can be reached before the 2pm deadline on Monday 17 October.
“It’s way too early to tell how the week will unfold, but we’ve obviously got to go through the process and do the right thing by all parties concerned, because we also have a responsibility to our members and supporters to make sure we act in the best interests of the Club.” Voss said.
“If we can get it done, we will, but there’s still so much time that has to pass before we sit and make that deal.”
“Hopefully it can get done by next Monday and everyone can walk away feeling like it’s a win/win situation. All the best deals are those where that happens.”
“I’m confident that Rob Kerr and our team can strike a suitable deal and get it done in the right way.”
National Talent Manager Rob Kerr will be the Club’s official spokesperson throughout the AFL exchange period and will provide fans with a detailed analysis should the Lions formalise any deals.
The Club obviously won’t be providing commentary on every rumour that arises during the week (there are bound to be plenty), but will certainly keep Lions fans aware of the facts as they happen.
So keep posted to the Club’s website - lions.com.au - and social media sites for the most accurate and up-to-date trade information relating to the Lions.
