The Lions will unearth a further two new players this weekend taking their overall tally of debutantsin 2007 to five.

Perth ruckman Matthew Leuenberger and long-time Lions rookie Will Hamill will both play their first senior match for the Lions against West Coast at Subiaco on Saturday night.

Leuenberger and Hamill are two of six inclusions to the team that went down to Port Adelaide last week by seven points. Rhan Hooper, Jason Roe, Wayde Mills and Robert Copeland have also been re-called after playing with the Suncoast Lions last week.

Ash McGrath, Richard Hadley, Albert Proud, Daniel Dzufer, Cameron Wood and Justin Sherman were all omitted from the side.

All eyes are likely to be on the 203cm Leuenberger who was taken by the Lions with their first selection (No. 4 pick overall) in the 2006 National Draft. After battling osteitis pubis at the beginning of the 2007 season, the 19 year-old ruckman has been terrorising the AFLQ competition both in the ruck and up forward.

It will be somewhat of a happy homecoming for Leuenberger who will be familiar with Subiaco Oval having played all of his junior football in Western Australia.

Hamill, who was only elevated to the Lions senior list today, will play his first senior match with the Lions since he was selected back in the 2004 Rookie Draft.
