Henderson selected to make Lions debut
Albert Proud, Justin Sherman and Lachlan Henderson have been included in the Lions team to play Collingwood.
Albert Proud, Justin Sherman and Lachlan Henderson have been included in the final team at the expense of Robert Copeland (injured), Troy Selwood and Cheynee Stiller (both omitted).
18 year-old Henderson is set to make his senior debut with the club after being selected with pick no.8 in the 2007 AFL National Draft. Coincidentally, Henderson will be lining up for his first AFL match against Collingwood – the team he supported before joining the Lions.
Proud, who impressed throughout the pre-season, will play his third senior match for the club while Sherman returns for his first match of the 2008 season.
Copeland will miss with a rolled ankle but the news was better for Jed Adcock who was passed fit to play despite injuring his shin against the Eagles last week.
