Lions Physical Performance Manager Brett Burton catches up with lions.com.au to give his weekly update on the Club’s injury list.
Brent Staker
Brent is on target to play this week. He’s had two full weeks of training under his belt and is available for selection.
Jed Adcock
Jed’s finger is going really well. He will train this week with the group. Really for this one it’s a comfort thing - if he’s not experiencing any discomfort with the finger then he’ll be available for selection this week.
Todd Banfield
Todd’s running pretty well. He’s running at about 80% capacity. He’s progressing well and he’ll be looking to come back in 1-2 weeks.
Callum Bartlett
Cal was on track for a Round 15 return but he’s been held up a week with a little foot injury. He’s moving along well though and should be back next week.
Mitch Clark
Mitch was on crutches for awhile but he’s off them now and weight bearing. At the moment we’re looking at getting him back to normal walking. He’ll be looking to run at the end of the week or the start of next week.
Josh Drummond
Unfortunately Josh wasn’t playing last weekend because of some knee soreness. He’s got a bit of bone bruising. We’re waiting for that to resolve so we can get him up and going again. He’ll be out for about another 2-3 weeks.
Daniel Rich
Richy’s been having an issue with his foot for the past few weeks. It’s a stress reaction. We’ve been monitoring and modifying his training loads, but unfortunately the injury has gotten worse so he’s now unavailable for the next couple of weeks.
Daniel Merrett
Dan’s off rest and doing some light gym work and light bike work. Just taking this one slowly.
Jamie Charman
Charmo had a bit of a setback with his Achilles but it won’t cost him too long.
Ryan Lester and Claye Beams
Ryan and Claye are both out for the season and will continue with their rehab to prepare for next year
