Following the conclusion of the 2012 AFL and NEAFL seasons, the Brisbane Lions AFC has completed its player reviews and interviews.

The Club can confirm that Cheynee Stiller, James Hawksley, Sam Sheldon, Bryce Retzlaff, Brad Harvey (rookie), and Josh Dyson (rookie) have been delisted.

Stiller is the longest-serving of the group with 100 senior AFL games, and last weekend captained the Lions Reserves to their first NEAFL/QAFL premiership in 11 years.

The delistings follow the retirement earlier this month of Amon Buchanan.

General Manager, Football Operations, Dean Warren, thanked the departing players.

“This is always a difficult time for players who are leaving the Club as they have worked hard to pursue their AFL careers,” he said.

“To that end we would like to acknowledge and thank them for their commitment and service to the Club.”

The Club will provide further updates on player list movements ahead of the AFL’s first list lodgement deadline (October 31).
