Question: Hey Ash, great win & performance by yourself in Round 1 against the Dees. Was near the tunnel at the end of the game celebrating with the other Lions supporters, what was that like for the players seeing the supporters like that?
It was a good win down there against Melbourne in Round 1.. And yes, we definitely love seeing our Melbourne supporters down there at the race cheering as loud as they can. Hopefully we’ll get more wins down there for you this year!

Question: Are you the head nappy changer at home when you have time off Ash?
We take it in turns changing nappies. But if I know that it’s after dinner or lunch and it’s going to be a big one, I usually just pretend to be asleep and let the missus handle it.

Question: Hey mate, do you have any lucky pair of lucky socks or undies that you wear for game day?
No I don’t Sean, I just pick whatever’s on top of the pile before I leave! Thanks for asking though.

Question: Hey Ash, I heard you are a bit of a One Direction fan - is there any truth to the rumour?
No Zane, I am not a big One Direction fan. James Polkinghorne is though. He loves them. Mark Harvey is another one who had a word to me this morning and let me know that One Direction is heading to Australia and that I should get along and see them. That was a weird one.

Question: HI Ash, really loving the unpredictability of our forward line now. Is there a chance Rog & Browny could be our Twin towers Fwd line for the future! PS Pass on congrats to Beams on his Rising star nom!
It’s good that we’ve had a few different looks in the forward 50. We’ll have two different targets there with Rog and Browny so hopefully our small forwards can get in there and get some kicks out of them.

Question: Hey Ash, great game against Melbourne! When you had the ball from the midfield and Toddy B was in the clear for a goal in the fifty, why didn't you kick? Just curious.
I realised after I had my second bounce running into the 50 that I might have taken one bounce too many. I just didn’t see Toddy at the time. When I did see him, I was nearly tackled. If I could go back and take that kick again, I definitely would.

Question: Hey Ash goodluck for the year. How have the young draftees fitted into the club?
They’ve fitted in really well. They all get put up with host families and there’s been no problems so far.

Question: hey ash good luck for the year. Who is the best sledger in the team?
We used to have a bloke, Bart McCulloch, who thought he was the greatest sledger of all time. He wasn’t though. Right now I’d say Mark Harvey would be the biggest sledger - he loves calling Tom Rockliff ‘bucket-mouth’ - because a lot of rubbish comes out of it.

Question: Can you somehow prolong Blacky’s return? All his fans would love his 300th to be against GWS so his good mate Luke Power can be there to see it. Luke said in the paper that he always hoped that he’d be there with Blacky when he played his 300th. What do you reckon?
We’ll have to see how long his hand keeps him out. It’s a shame that Luke’s gone, but footy’s like that. People leave and teams change so I’m sure Luke will send his best regards to Blacky that week.
