Ruckman Trent West will return for his first senior game since round 11 2014.
The 27-year old underwent a reconstruction to his left knee in June last year and has been named to face Carlton on Saturday night at The Gabba.
West was recruited from Geelong in the 2013 off-season, playing 10 games in 2014 before injuring his ACL against the Blues last year.
West had minor knee surgery in late May which delayed his return, but has played the last five weeks in the NEAFL regaining match fitness and confidence in his knee.
Tom Cutler has also been selected, playing his first senior game since Round 13 against Adelaide.
Defender Justin Clarke is unavailable after he fractured his jaw in the loss to the Gold Coast Suns last weekend and Rohan Bewick has been omitted.
Brisbane hold the upper hand against Carlton in 2015. The Lions’ first win this season was against the Blues in round six.
