Pearce Hanley: Hey Ally, I really miss playing Gaelic footy, but have a new love for AFL so it’s not too bad.
Annie: Hi Pearce, just wondering how you like living in Australia and putting up with the heat of Queensland?
Pearce Hanley: Annie, I love the Queensland weather and Brisbane has been great. But I have to say I’m a big supporter of aircon
GG: Great to chat with you Pearce - how wet was it Saturday night? Remind you of Ireland? Ever played in worse conditions?
Pearce Hanley: Hey GG, Ireland is wet but I don’t remember it being that bad.
Jim: Hi Pearce, how did you pull up after the 'swimming' on Saturday night? Draining much?
Pearce Hanley: Hey Jim, I can’t swim so Vossy allowed me to wear a float in my shorts
Naomi: How'd you pull up from the game on Saturday night?
Pearce Hanley: Hey Naomi, I pulled up fine - didn’t have to run too far in the wet conditions. But my body is sore the tough contested conditions
Reecefm: Hey Pearce, first thanks for scoring well in my DT :) What are your thoughts about the up-and-coming game against Essendon?
Pearce Hanley: Hey Reece, I’m doing my best for all my Dream Team peeps hoping for a big score this week :) Feeling confident about this week, we trained well this morning
AJ: Do you like video games ?
Pearce Hanley: AJ, I’m loving Call of Duty online at the moment
Laura: Hi Pearce. You have played a bit on the wing this year, how are you enjoying that?
Pearce Hanley: Am loving the wing Laura. It gives you a bit more freedom to run around without an opponent and a better chance of getting up the field to kick some goals.
Kendra: Hey Pearce, what are your plans for your time down in Melbourne? Do you get much spare time?
Pearce Hanley: Hi Kendra, we don’t get too much spare time, we’re usually preparing for the game. But we do sometimes get out to the shops down Chapel Street :)
Matt: Hey Pearce, how far do you think we can go this year?
Pearce Hanley: Hey Matt, it’s very early days but I think we have a good chance of winning a lot more games this year. I definitely wouldn’t rule Finals out ;)
Naomi: Hey Pearce, if it wasn't sport, what would you be doing now?
Naomi: If you weren't playing sport, what would you be doing with yourself?
Pearce Hanley: Naomi, if I wasn’t in Oz at the moment, I’d like to think I would be a qualified PE teacher because I started that degree back home before I left
Mitch: Hey Pearce, do you live with any of the guys at the Club and how are they as roommates?
Pearce Hanley: I live with Claye Beams and Jesse O’Brien. Not too bad to live with. I’m the best cook and the cleanest so they love living with me
Tom: Hey Pearce, when are you applying for Australian citizenship? :P
Pearce Hanley: Hey Tom, I’m actually looking into now, so hopefully soon fingers crossed
GG: Pearce - great to chat - how wet was it Saturday night and have you ever played in wetter conditions? Did the boys pull up ok?
Pearce Hanley: I’ve played in some pretty bad conditions, but that is in my top five for sure. All the boys are fine and excited for this weekend
Phil: Does your accent get the girls? Seriously mate.
Pearce Hanley: Hey Phil, it’s not my looks that get them haha
Paulie: Hey mate, one more...did you see Jack threw Harry Taylor's boot away during the game? If so, what did you think at the time? That was hilarious!
Pearce Hanley: I had a little giggle Paulie, but then had to race back so wasn’t overly happy at the time.
GG: Do the boys back home give you a hard time about your Australian accent? ;)
Pearce Hanley: The girls love my new Aussie accent back home GG
