Fancy yourself as an AFL expert?

Then why not test yourself against actual Lions players, staff and other supporters in the Club’s own private group within the 2010 AFL Dream Team competition.

This FREE online fantasy football competition invites fans to hand-pick their own side of 30 players from across the League and carefully manage their team each week throughout the regular season.

You select real players and based on their actual performances each round, your team scores points according to each of your selected players' stats. Your team is then ranked among the opposing teams in the competition.

The stakes may not be as high as the real thing, but the competition is just as fierce.

Now for the first time, fans can pit their team directly against Lions players Ash McGrath (coach of ‘Boonj’s Bandits’), Justin Sherman (coach of ‘Worm’s Weasels') and Jed Adcock (coach of ‘Jed’s Juggernaut').

Fans will also go up against self-proclaimed Club staff ‘experts’ including long-time Property Manager Ian Hawke (coach of ‘Property Pirates’), Media Coordinator Sam Lord (coach of ‘The Media Mafia’), Performance Analysis Manager Jarrod Harkness (coach of ‘Stat Rats’) and Website Coordinator Alixx Cameron aka ‘Miss Lions’ (coach of ‘Web Warriors’).

This popular competition is now open for participants to join with registrations closing 5pm Thursday 25 March 2010. Spaces in the Lions’ private group are unlimited until this date so be sure to extend the invitation to friends and family.

The team with the highest aggregate score after Round 22 will win a 2010 team-signed Lions guernsey and supreme bragging rights while the Runner-Up will take home a team-signed Sherrin footy. The third placed team will receive a Lions merchandise pack.

Please visit the Lions website each week for regular Dream Team updates, feature stories and tips.
