Rising Brisbane Lions midfield star Jack Redden has today re-signed with the Club for a further three years.

In further exciting news for the Club’s future, Redden, 21, becomes the latest in a number of midfield and emerging stars in committing to the Lions for an extended period.

Redden has, remarkably, not missed a senior match since making his debut in 2009 and enjoyed a particularly stellar season in 2011 - he finished inside the top three at the Club in total disposals, marks and tackles, and laid the second most amount of tackles out of any player across the AFL.

Redden was rewarded for his efforts when he came third in the Lions Club Champion awards and was also the recipient of the Shaun Hart Most Courageous Player award.

His quiet, ‘no fuss’ attitude has earned him a following amongst Lions supporters who have watched the young South Australian go from strength to strength since arriving at the Lions from Glenelg in the 2008 AFL National Draft.

He now joins the like of Tom Rockliff, Matthew Leuenberger, Daniel Rich, Patrick Karnezis and Jared Polec (among others) to recently sign new long-term deals with the Club.
