Train where the Lions train
Ever wanted to experience first-hand the type of physical activity that keeps the Lions players at peak fitness from week-to-week?
Now you can with Game On Fitness located across the road from the Gabba.
The brainchild of former Lions player and Strength and Conditioning Coach Matthew ‘Max’ Kennedy and former Queensland sports radio broadcaster and events host Mark Forbes, Game On Fitness is designed to provide suitable training sessions for all levels of fitness for both male and female clients.
Although Kennedy recently stepped away from his official role with the Club to focus solely on this new project, the Lions team regularly visit the Game On Fitness gym to perform gruelling cross-training sessions as part of their pre-season training program.
Their boxing program has been trialled and tested by none other than newly appointed Lions Captain Jonathan Brown who often spends additional hours in Kennedy’s gym sparring with his former Lions team-mate.
A committed group of Lions administration staff have even started spending a couple evenings each week at Game On Fitness with the hope of getting back in shape for Summer.
So regardless of whether you are beginning a fitness program or an elite athlete looking for an ‘edge’, Game On’s fitness conditioning professionals can assist.
Kennedy believes his unique purpose built fitness training facility will meet and exceed the expectations of his clients.
“We don’t have any gimmicks,” Kennedy said. “We prefer to rely on providing the best practice fitness conditioning methods around – similar to those we put the Lions players through on a regular basis.”
Game On Fitness clients will undertake a comprehensive health assessment and screening process at the beginning of their program to determine the training model that best suits their needs.
Unlike a number of larger gym franchises, Game On Fitness prides itself on offering a personalised service within a small group structure so that its clients never feel intimidated or neglected.
In addition to regular fitness programs, Game On International offers a range of corporate and team building products.
Their product range includes football packages, horse racing experiences, golf day enhancement, guest speakers, fundraising opportunities and even team challenges such as trips to Kokoda.
So why not put in a big pre-season with a Lions fitness professional or simply take advantage of Game On’s exclusive ‘Breakfast Club’ before heading to the office?
