Bio: Mobile for his size, McCulloch is versatile as a ruckman or tall forward and has displayed clean skills low to the ground.
Tasmania U18 coach Andrew Mellor says: For a player of his height Bart's a very good ground-level player. In addition to that he has a real ability to cover the ground well, and those are pretty special qualities for a kid that tall. We used him as a key forward and also as a ruckman and we even threw him out on a wing on the odd occasion because he has such good endurance. We probably needed him to take more contested marks, but he started to do that in the last two or three games that he played.

In his own words
Strengths?
My agility and endurance for someone my height.
Weaknesses?
I’ve realised I haven’t taken enough contested marks not really worked hard to throw myself into every contest and try and get my hands on them.
AFL team you support?
Carlton. I’ve followed them all my life.
Which AFL players do you try to model yourself on?
As a centre half-forward I follow Jonathan Brown and in particular Nick Riewoldt for his athleticism, the running ability he uses to take a lot of marks and his hard work. I really like to see players when they’re working hard because they deserve everything they get. And I think Nick Riewoldt, you always see him busting really hard to get to the right position and work hard, so I follow him more than anyone.
