Brisbane assistant coach Adrian Fletcher has warned the Eagles will be ready for the Lions when the two sides clash in Perth on Sunday.
While the Lions were able to sneak under the high flying Eagles' guard in their round 10 win at the Gabba, it's unlikely to be a case of lightning striking twice, according the Fletcher. Speaking to Perth media ahead of the clash, Fletcher said: "They're a good side, the Eagles.
"They'll be wanting to get back into the top four so we will need to be at our best."
"A lot of our younger players, they've played a little bit of AFL footy now, so they won't be able to sneak under the radar."
"It should be a good game of footy."
The Lions warmed up for the showdown with the Eagles with a final hit-out at Perth's famed WACA ground in front of a strong showing of fans.
Stephen Wrigley was one of a number of Lions players that trained strongly ahead of his debut.
"He's a good, young man, Steve, and it's a great reward for effort in the Reserves," said Fletcher.
"He will give us some extra run at Subiaco (Patersons) tomorrow which is what you need to compete at these bigger grounds."
