He might be a man of only few words, but rookie Jack Crisp opened up to Lions fans during a live chat with lions.com.au on Wednesday.

Among other things, Crisp gave fans an insight into who is the best dancer at the Club, his preferred nickname, and even what he intends to call his son (should he have one in the future).

The 18 year-old also mentioned that he was beginning to warm towards his allocated number 47 Lions guernsey - even though it is largely considered ‘unfashionable’ these days.

“I didn’t get to choose my number, but the number 47 is growing on me!” Crisp said.

While many players will often look to ‘upgrade’ to a lower number once they’ve been in the system for a few years, Crisp has an opportunity to create Lions history should he stick with the number 47.

In 126 year of combined history, a total of just 10 players (including Crisp) have donned the Number 47 guernsey in a senior match - with Fitzroy’s Tony Hirst recording the most with just six senior matches.

Crisp is already halfway to joining Hirst as the most capped number 47 in Club history, and could become the first ever player to have his name inked on the number 47 locker door should he go on to play 100 matches with the Lions in that particular guernsey.
