Burton staying put
The "cutting edge" sports environment on offer in Brisbane has seen Brett Burton shut out overtures from rival clubs
Burton told the Adelaide Now website: “At the moment I’m happy where I am as I’m in a good environment.”
“The benefit of being up here is that we’ve got ties to other elite sports up here like the Queensland Reds, the Brisbane Broncos and some national track athletes. So in terms of an environment where you’re sharing information, it’s cutting edge.”
After joining the Club at the end of the 2010 season, Burton has overseen the development of the Lions physical performance program, which will see the Club send 18 players to an altitude training camp in Flagstaff in November.
The group will depart for the two and a half week training camp two days after returning to pre-season training in Brisbane on November 5.
