Notting cleared of major damage
The Vodafone Brisbane Lions received good news yesterday when scans cleared Tim Notting of any major damage to his left shoulder following a heavy collision in
Notting dislocated his shoulder in a marking contest during the third quarter and was sidelined for the remainder of the match. Scans on his injured shoulder yesterday revealed only minimal damage.
With no matches scheduled for this weekend, Notting will be assessed over the next two weeks and is considered a chance to be available for the Lions round 1 match against Hawthorn at the Gabba.
In other injury news, second year forward Mitchell Clark will miss between 4-6 weeks after bruising his fibula at training last week. Clark had fully recovered froma knee complaint over the pre-season before this latest set-back.
Joel Patfull, who was a late withdrawal from the Lions NAB Cup Grand Final side, hurt his knee in training prior to the match and has been listed as a test.
Nigel Lappin and Daniel Bradshaw will both be tested in the next two weeks to determine whether they will be available for the opening round of the AFL Premiership season.
