Midfielder Jarrod Berry will undergo surgery today to have a Baker’s cyst removed from his right knee.
The 21-year-old could be sidelined for six to eight weeks, dependant on the success of the surgery.
General Manager of Football David Noble said Berry’s knee was sore after the team’s Round 9 victory against Adelaide.
“After discussions with our medical team and Jarrod, surgery was agreed upon as the best solution going forward,” Noble said.
“With Jarrod having a previous Baker’s cyst, we have some previous information on how his body reacts to these and used that information to help us make an informed decision.
“We anticipate that his return would be around six weeks but will have a clearer picture once he has his surgery.”
