A restricted free agent in 2023, Tom Doedee signed with the Lions after eight seasons with the Adelaide Crows. Doedee, a quality intercept defender, will further bolster the Lions defence. Selected with pick 17 in the 2015 Draft, Doedee made his AFL debut in 2018 and went on the finish second in the NAB AFL Rising Star. Elevated into the Crows leadership group in 2020, Doedee playing 20 and 21 games in 2021 and 2022 respectively. A Geelong local, Doedee was a talented basketballer growing up, representing Vic Country at the Under-18 Australian Basketball Championships.
