On Saturday night, the Brisbane Lions AFLW side celebrated another strong season in style at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Ally Anderson took out the Best and Fairest award by five votes from fellow midfielder Belle Dawes with All-Australian winger Sophie Conway in third.

The night was filled with other recognition of outstanding season from a number of players who contributed to a premiership season.

Orla O’Dwyer was rewarded for a stellar finals campaign winning Best Finals Player this season, averaging 21 touches across three finals.

Jennifer Dunne was awarded the Rising Star Award after a strong second season playing every game and often getting the role on key forwards, with her best performance coming against Hawthorn in the Qualifying Final.

Lily Postlethwaite received the All For One Award in another outstanding season for the versatile forward, who showed her classy skills throughout the year, playing off half-back and half-forward.

Small-Forward Ruby Svarc awarded The Lionhearted Award after producing her best season to date and was a key cog in the Lions forward set up bringing pressure and speed to the Brisbane’s attack.

Versatile midfielder Cathy Svarc who played in the middle and up forward at times throughout the year, won The Most Relentless award, playing a key role and popping up in big moments this season particularly in finals.

Belle Dawes, who finished second in the Best and Fairest count was also awarded Trademark Player for the second successive season, a career-year for the 23-year-old, saw Dawes named in the 2024 AFLW All-Australian team.

Belle Dawes won the fan voted YOUI Game changer award for the second year in a row demonstrating the consistency of her performances this season.
