We're back at the Gabba, how bloody good!

Off the back of a Friday night lights win over Carlton, the boys will be looking to put on a good show on our home deck this Saturday night against the Bombers.

We've asked the coaches, the players and every fan in Brisbane about what they're excited about and compacted it all into this wonderful article.

Last time we met

Safe to say the last time we played Essendon was one of the strangest games in recent memory.

While we secretly were hoping for a postponement of the game at the time, the AFL gods decided otherwise and we made a whopping nine changes due to Health and Safety Protocols and injury.

The outs included Harris Andrews, Dan McStay, Daniel Rich, Dayne Zorko, Jarrod Berry, Jaxon Prior, Keidean Coleman, Cal Ah Chee and Noah Answerth but opened the door for debutant, Carter Michael, who impressed with an incredible goal deep in the forward pocket.

Lachie Neale took on skipper duties on the day and battled through a hard tag from Jye Caldwell, with the boys battling hard for most of the afternoon.

While we eventually fell 10 points short, it was a coming of age game for Brandon Starcevich, who finished with 26 disposals, seven marks and eight intercept possessions.

The Magician's Return

Dayne Zorko makes his return ahead of schedule this weekend!

An energiser and wealth of experience, we think we speak for everyone when we say Zorks in the side is never a bad thing.

And if his energy on the track this week is anything to go by, we're very keen to see him do his thing on Saturday night!

Key match ups we're keen for

Brandon Starcevich vs Jake Stringer

This one is going to be a good one!

We all know Starce is the ultimate competitor and we'd expect him to be tasked with 'Package' duties at some stage throughout the night.

Stringer has kicked six goals in the last fortnight while Starce is averaging 12.7 pressure acts a game and is no walk over.

Two bulls going head-to-head, what more could you want!
