Key forward Dakota Davidson will be available for selection for Sunday’s clash against West Coast.
The tall forward has been sidelined for the past two games under AFL Concussion Protocol after a head knock in Round 6 against St Kilda.
Davidson’s potential inclusion for the Indigenous Round carries additional importance for the young talent who is one of the team’s three Indigenous AFLW players.
A proud Gundmitjmarra woman, Davidson designed the Club’s first ever AFLW Indigenous guernsey last year.
It was worn throughout the season as the side’s Clash guernsey and in their 2021 AFLW Premiership win.
Teammate Ally Anderson, who is passionate about her Ghungalu heritage, has designed the Lions’ 2022 AFLW Indigenous Guernsey, which tells the story of the Club’s AFLW journey.
The Lions will play West Coast on Sunday February 27 at Mineral Resources Park (WA). You can catch the action live on Kayo, Fox or womens.afl.
