Orla O’Dwyer will be a test for the Lions’ this week after scans cleared her of a shoulder injury.
The Irishwoman came off in the third term of the Lions’ record-breaking win against the Eagles and did not return to the field.
She will need to get through this week’s training successfully to be available for selection in the Lions’ Round 9 clash against North Melbourne.
O’Dwyer’s injury was the only dampener on Sunday’s massive 74-point victory over West Coast.
Brisbane’s final score of 98 eclipsed the previous AFLW record score of 87 set by Carlton against the Gold Coast last year. While the 74-point margin is the biggest in the Club’s AFLW history.
The historic win comes off the back of an already exceptional season for O’Dwyer who has posted personal best performances in numerous games this season.
Her Round 1 performance included a career-best 21 disposals, 15 kicks, 7 marks and 7 tackles set the standard for what has been one of the 23-year-olds best seasons yet.
The Lions will play North Melbourne on Sunday at the Maroochydore Multi Sport Complex at 12:10PM.
