2022 shapes as another great year for the Lions and this goes for off field activities too.
For 2022, the Lions are ALL IN and are working hard to assist 9 great charities in continuing the wonderful work they do within our community.
This year members and fans can pre-purchase 50:50 charity raffle tickets to support these great charities as well as supporting them on game day at the Gabba.
The Lions kick of their AFL season at the Gabba this weekend with 50:50 proceeds going towards the Leukemia Foundation.
Club CEO, Greg Swann, said it was an important part of the Lions philosophy around giving back to the community that supports them.
“Our members and fans are the best in the world and that goes for supporting those that need help too.
“Since the Lions commenced with 50:50 charity raffles, we have been able to raise over $218,000 for a range of fantastic charities that all play an important part in our community.
“It is fantastic that we can support these wonderful charities and help raise funds that help them deliver their services.
“Some of these charities have been partners for a number of years and some will be with us for the first time as we have seen the impact they have firsthand.
“The work that they do is amazing and often unsung, so being able to provide additional avenues for these organisations to fundraise is a real privilege.”
The 50:50 charity raffle sees half of funds raised go to one lucky winner with the charity partner receiving the remaining funds.
