Ash McGrath, Joel Patfull and Daniel Rich will be joined by Mitch Clark, Tom Rockliff, Todd Banfield, Josh Green, Mitch Golby, Rohan Bewick, Claye Beams and Pearce Hanley in this year’s official AFL online fantasy competition.
The competition between the players is sure to be fierce with the likes of self-proclaimed Dream Team veterans Green, Golby and Bewick taking on a host of relative newcomers.
2011 will also see the introduction of the first ever Dream Team co-coached by two players as Claye Beams and Pearce Hanley team-up to bring their on-field team-mates down.
Each participating player spoke with lions.com.au during the week to provide some hot tips for prospective AFL Dream Team coaches.

The eventual winner of the Lions’ private Dream Team group will take home a magnificent grand prize which includes the following:
- Signed Lions guernsey
- Lions Dream Team winners trophy
- The opportunity to have the Lions Dream Team winners trophy presented to them by one of the participating Lions players (only if based in Queensland or Victoria)
- Congratulations letter from Lions Senior Coach Michael Voss
- Recognition in the Lions’ 2011 Season Review magazine with a feature story
Meanwhile, the runners-up and third placed teams will each earn a trophy to acknowledge their achievements.
More than 350 people have already joined the Lions’ private AFL Dream Team group, however the Club aims to reach the 1,000 participant mark before the start of the home-and-away season.
So the Club is encouraging all Lions fans - together with their family and friends - to sign up for FREE and help make the Lions’ league even more competitive.
Simply follow the instructions below to submit your team. But hurry, because registrations close at 5pm on Thursday 24 March 2011.
HOW TO JOIN
1. If you have NOT YET REGISTERED, click on the below REGISTER button and fill in the registration form as usual. On successful registration, you'll automatically be added to the Brisbane Lions group - simply look for the "GROUP" tab in the main game menu.
2. If you have ALREADY REGISTERED for the 2011 Toyota AFL Dream Team, simply click on the below LOGIN button and login as usual. Once logged in, simply confirm your invitation and you'll be automatically added.
Private Groups are a separate feature. You may still create and join up to five head-to-head leagues in the competition as usual.
