The Brisbane Lions and Gold Coast Suns Football Clubs wish to advise that Tommy Hanley has lost his battle with cancer.
The younger brother of Cian and Pearce passed away in hospital in Dublin on Tuesday evening.
Cian and Pearce, who travelled back to Ireland to be with Tommy, made it to Dublin in time to see their brother before his passing.
The Lions and Suns express their sincerest condolences to the Hanley family at this most difficult of times.
Both Clubs will wear black armbands out of respect for Tommy Hanley during this weekend's games.
The Clubs will continue to provide all the support the family needs and have asked the media respect the privacy of the players and the Hanley family.
