Brisbane Lions’ midfielder Jack Redden has agreed to a new two-year deal with the Club.
The new agreement will see Redden, 24, remain at the Lions until at least the end of the 2016 season.
Redden joins teammate, Sam Mayes, who last week announced he has chosen to stay with the Brisbane Lions until at least the end of 2016, after signing a new two-year deal.
Mayes, who had an outstanding debut year in 2013 playing 18 games, was the club's first draft pick in the 2012 draft at No.8.
Redden said there was never any doubt about wanting to remain a Lion and is excited about the future of the Club.
“I love the Club and I love Brisbane,” said Redden.
“There was never a doubt in my mind that I would remain a Lion. I have been at the Club for six years now and I am really excited about the direction we are heading.
“Leppa has brought fresh eyes to the Club, and I am relishing the opportunity to learn under him.”
Lions General Manager, Football Operations, Dean Warren, said:
“Jack has finished in the top five of our Club Champion the past three years, and is an integral part of the strong midfield group we are developing.
“A further two year commitment from Jack demonstrates the confidence he has in the direction of this football Club.”
Redden, originally from South Australia, was drafted by the Lions with pick No. 25 in the 2008 AFL National Draft.
He was ranked fourth in the AFL for tackles (147) in 2013 and has played 98 consecutive games since making his debut in 2009.
