Brisbane Lions appear set to re-sign promising young duo Josh Green and Claye Beams.
The pair has shown strong form at stages throughout this season for the club and Lions General Manager - Football Operations, Dean Warren, told Brisbane’s The Courier Mail it was a boost to have Green and Beams agree to terms with the club until the end of 2014.
"It is fantastic, it is great to have two young guys like them agree to terms because we think they are an important part of our future," Warren said.
An official announcement from the Club is likely to be made in the next week.
Green has played 14 games for the Lions since making his debut in 2011, and has kicked 11 goals this season.
Beams, the brother of Collingwood star Dayne, has played 10 games for the Lions since being selected at the 2010 NAB AFL Rookie Draft.
He won a NAB AFL Rising Star nomination in round one after an impressive performance in the Lions' win over Melbourne.
