We take a look at some of the key stats from Saturday's match against Collingwood.

The number of inside 50s we had - Collingwood had 70 inside 50s compared to our 38.

To make things worse our efficiency inside 50 was at 45% compared to Collingwood's which was 64%.

A career best 4 goals kicked by vice-captain Dayne Zorko - The Queenslander with 19 disposals, 6 marks and seven tackles, was clearly the Lions’ best on a disappointing night.

The Pies were first to the ball dominating in clearances – 48 to the Lions 24. Ruckman Stefan Martin and Josh Walker combined for 32 hit-outs compared to 34 from the Pies’ Brodie Grundy and Mason Cox, but the midfield was unable to gain any ascendency.

Collingwood dominated contested possession – 152 to 115. First to the ball, the corridor from the Pies’ half-back line into its forward 50 resembled a red carpet, such was the ease with which they moved the ball.

The total amount of shots on goal that Collingwood had - 20 goals and 23 behinds, compared to our 10 goals and 5 behinds. The Magpies could have really done some damage had their missed shots sailed through the big sticks.
