Week two of the 2018 INC pre-season saw the first to fourth year players slog it out on the training track and in the gym with an intense boxing session.
Leading the charge was Nick Robertson who is regarded as one of the fittest and most dedicated at the Club.
Boxing is something that Robertson used throughout the offseason to keep fit.
“A few of us did quite a bit of it during the offseason – we reckon it is really beneficial,” Robertson said.
“We did a lot of bag work [today]. Lots of different intervals. The shoulders get pretty heavy but I really enjoy it.
“I’ve got some work to do but there’s a long way to Round 1 so there’s plenty of time.”
Along with Robertson, Rhys Mathieson has also impressed during the first week of pre-season training.
The duo spent plenty of time together during offseason traveling and training together.
“If you know Rhys you know he is a really hard worker,” Robertson said.
“He wanted to really challenge his running this year so thought he would give me a crack. I really enjoyed training with him.”
