Fitzroy's senior team earned their place in the VAFA Premier C Division decider with a commanding 61-point win over Mazenod in the Preliminary Final on Saturday.
Importantly, Fitzroy's win not only secures them another shot at Parkdale for the senior premiership, but also guarantees them a place in the Premier B division for the 2013 season.
Fitzroy president Joan Eddy says “We were hoping to have a successful year for at least our senior team but to have three make a Grand Final is just an amazing effort. This is an acheivement that no other club in the VAFA has been able to reach this year but winning a flag or three is now the main priority for all of us at our famous and iconic club this week. No matter what the outcome will be for any of our teams this up and coming Saturday is we have so much to be proud of .”
