The Brisbane Lions AFC has finalised the conduct of its Club review process following the appointments of independent experts John Reid and Terry Coyne who will join Chief Executive Michael Bowers and Senior Coach Michael Voss on the Club's review panel.

Reid has been appointed to the review panel as the Lions' Board nominee and brings with him an extensive football background in South Australia which has spanned 45 years.

He most recently spent 13 years with the Adelaide Football Club as their General Manager of Football Operations and was heavily involved in all aspects of the Crows' Football Department and management structure.

Coyne is an organisational specialist with over 25 years of experience as a CEO and Senior Psychologist who will provide facilitation services for the Club review process.

He was the founding Director of CD Sports - a firm that played a formative role in the initiation of player welfare for the AFLPA. In addition, he has assisted various VFL/AFL clubs and club personnel with similar organisational specialist services.

Lions Chairman Angus Johnson believes the review panel is now effectively structured to conduct a thorough and extensive Club review.

"It has been the Club's priority to bring this Club review process together," Mr Johnson said.

"As representatives of all Lions members, it is the Board's responsibility to ensure that the review achieves it's stated aim of improving our overall performance."

"All of us at the Club are confident that the review panel has the right mix of senior Lions management, long-term football experience and commercial expertise to make this a thorough and comprehensive process," he said.

The review will officially commence on Monday 30 August.

The Club will be making no further comment on the review process.
