Fev's Stroke of Genius
The National Stroke Foundation is ‘celebrating the brain’ with a new online voting initiative called Stroke of Genius and our 'Fev-olution' is involved!
Stroke of Genius is an online competition inviting Australians to share their ‘light bulb’ moment.
These bright ideas might not be ground-breaking or have the potential to change the world, but recognise the creative ability of the brain.
This new and unique campaign encourages ideas to be entered into a competition where the public will vote to determine Australia’s favourite Stroke of Genius idea.
Join some of Australia’s most popular personalities: Mark Beretta from Sunrise, John Blackman from Hey Hey It’s Saturday, Ant & Becks from Mix FM 101.1, Rhonda Burchmore and comedian Dave Thornton, along with sporting heroes like Brisbane Lion Brendan Fevola and others as we unveil those great ‘what the world needs’ ideas.
Every vote made requires a $1 donation to support the National Stroke Foundation in our quest to stop strokes, save lives and end suffering.
Don’t miss the chance to be crowned the Stroke of Genius Popular Choice or Judges Choice Winner and to take home some fabulous prizes.
Help us make strokes a thing of the past. Submit your Stroke of Genius now or vote for other people’s Strokes of Genius via the website: www.strokeofgenius.com.au
Stroke of Genius winners will be announced on Sunday 1 August 2010. Good luck!
Our Brisbane Lions player idea to support this Stroke Foundation awareness campaign comes from full-forward Brendan Fevola and it's called the iWatch.
Especially designed for frequent travelers, people constantly on the move, busy athletes and even late night socialites who are always at risk of misplacing their mobile phones or having them stolen or damaged.
That's because it combines some of the best elements of a mobile phone into a sturdy watch you will always have conveniently and securely fastened around your wrist wherever you go and whatever you do!
The shock resistant, highly durable and water resistant iWatch with slightly enlarged digital LCD display:
- always tells the time of course
- it relays any actual SMS messages sent to your mobile, or at least notifies you of any messages received and from who
- it has an alarm function that also displays the calendar alert text it relates to (i.e. what, where, when, who) that can be entered via the mobile phone which it automatically feeds data from
- it can also let you record audio of ideas or reminders that are stored as text messages via voice recognition software that can be accessed via the watch or your mobile phone
- and it is also naturally a stopwatch.
We hope you like it and vote for Fev's hi-tech idea online!
