Brisbane Lions veteran Dayne Zorko has proven his fitness to be selected to take on Essendon at The Gabba on Saturday.
The 34-year-old returns for the Round 9 clash after missing last week’s win against Carlton with a hamstring strain sustained against Fremantle the previous week.
Zorko trained solidly on Tuesday and Thursday, leading to senior coach Chris Fagan including the 236-gamer to his best 22.
Making way for the former skipper is last week’s substitute Jarryd Lyons, with Noah Answerth also omitted but has been named as an emergency alongside Callum Ah Chee, Nakia Cockatoo and Darcy Fort.
Saturday night’s match kicks off at 7.25pm in front of a home crowd at The Gabba.
The match will be broadcast live on Seven and Fox Footy.
